The iPhone 11 pro max is one of the most popular mobile devices of all time. With the A13 Bionic chipset and the all-new back design with a triple
camera setup, it brought freshness to the iPhone lineup.
With it being sleek yet very powerful, one question that comes to one’s mind when thinking about buying it is its battery life.
So, how long does the iPhone 11 Pro Max battery last?
In short, the battery of the iPhone 11 Pro Max lasts for around 11 to 13 hours on average (continuous) usage.
To push the 3969mAh (15.04Wh) battery of the iPhone 11 pro max to its limits. I put it through a series of three tests.
So, without any further ado, let’s dive right into it.
How long does the iPhone 11 Pro Max Battery last?
I conducted 3 tests to test the battery life of the device, which are as follows
Test 1: [Heavy Lifting] As the name suggests, this test is where I put the battery through the absolute hardcore tasks, which means pushing it to its absolute limits.
I played some heavy games, streamed high-quality videos, and did some benchmarking tests as well. And the device held up pretty well.
Want to know how long it took to drain the battery to zero percent? Stay with us till the end!
Test 2: [The Average] In this test, I tried to simulate a usual person’s usage, and I achieved it by replacing my primary device with the iPhone 11 pro max.
Some calls, casual gaming, streaming, and scrolling are what I did throughout the day.
Test 3: [Idle] In this test, I left the device as is after a full charge and with very few interruptions. I made some random calls and texts to keep the notification channel up and active. This was a try to simulate a busy day (when you don’t use the phone much).
Let’s come to the part you all are waiting for, the results!
The table below shows the required data:
Test No. | Time after which the battery became 0% |
---|---|
Test 1 | 6 hours 54 minutes |
Test 2 | 11 hours 17 minutes |
Test 3 | 80 hours [Estimated] |
From the results, it is very clear that:
- Heavy lifting turned out to be very well, when we see the load I put on it, it held up quite well. For a 3-generation old device to perform this well under so much load is considered a great backup. Overall this test ended up giving us a total of 6 hours and 54 minutes.
- The Average scenario is the most optimal one as that’s how most people are going to use it. And for average usage, 11 hours and 17 minutes are pretty much impressive!
- The idle scenario was to test the busy day backup. What’s a busy day backup? It is when you don’t use your phone much. And your phone is just lying around with little to zero interruptions. and the battery is estimated to last for around 80 hours.
So, we get our answer to the main question: How long does the iPhone 11 Pro Max battery last?
Approximately, it lasts for around 10 to 13 hours on continuous usage.
Those are impressive numbers I must say. The device is an excellent choice for every range of users, whether you’re a student, a professional, or a creator!
